This is not a happy post. Rather, this is contemplative.
There comes a time in every person's life when you start asking about a lot of things, wondering about why's and how's, hoping that each question becomes answered, that every fear and worry be secured, that every investment is returned.
Mine has come, not just once. But, almost always.
Why?

December's Bliss: A Repost
Why I love December, the reasons I can enumerate:
1. December is happiness. Amidst the coldness of air, it brings about the feeling of warmth with the anticipation of the Holidays' Season.
2. Friends are coming home. What a perfect time to reunite with people who, in every sense of the word, are a mosaic of every aspect of a person's life.
3. Early morning masses. Goal: Be able to gain perfect attendance in Misa de Gallo. It brings about a feeling of satisfaction, a sense of fulfillment.
4. Morning walks. It gives me time to think and reflect. It just makes me feel alive.
5. Bright's Birthday! He's turning 9 this year. I just can't wait for the 16th.
6. December is a reminder of high school. And everything that went with it.
7. Relatives are coming home!
8. December is equated with foods. Usually, this is the time when they allow us to cook and bake without supervision.
9. Gifts galore. December is a Giving Season. I'm hoping still to receive gifts this Christmas (although our parents believe that I'm already overage..hey! I'm still young at heart!).

Para!
As if I were just boarding an ordinary jeepney, I earnestly knocked on the train's wall - - - P-A-R-A!
So, this is it. This is what I have been waiting and looking for the entire time: PEACE. In every sense of the word, I have survived the long tunnel ride. It was not easy. It drained all energy and optimism I have. But I have always known back then that everything was just a bump on the road. Because I have chosen the one less travelled.
Now, I see daffodils and the green meadows. I feel the wind brushing through my face. I hear birds chirping. I can taste the sweetness of this very moment. I told myself - I am ready. I'm off the train. I'm off the tunnel ride.
Hello sunshine!
Hello life!
